Do you want your church to be a welcoming space for those returning to the Catholic Faith?
We would love to help you make this a reality.
We want everyone to know that they are loved by God and that they are welcome in His Church.
In the story of the Prodigal Son, Jesus tells us of a father who welcomes his son home after a long time away.
The father runs to the boy and immediately celebrates his return, not even giving the son time to apologise.
This is God the Father’s love for those who have been away from Him.
We believe that every local church can show this welcome to those who return.
Landings is a series of relaxed, informal meetings, based on faith-sharing within a small group, that offer a safe and supported ‘landing place’ for Catholics who have been away from the Church and are thinking about coming back.
Landings was pioneered at Farm Street Church in London but has been taken up by other churches in the UK.
We would love to see it continuing to grow so that together we can create welcoming spaces in churches up and down the country.
‘The Church will have to initiate everyone … into this “art of accompaniment” which teaches us to remove our sandals before the sacred ground of the other.’ Pope Francis
If you would like to run Landings where you are, please get in touch with our coordinator who would be happy to support you in setting it up.
